FAQs
1. What types of equipment do you reupholster?
We specialize in commercial strength equipment, including benches, selectorized machines, plate-loaded equipment, and custom pads. Our focus is on equipment designed for heavy, daily use in gym environments.
2. Is reupholstery a better option than replacing pads or machines?
In most cases, yes. Upholstery typically wears out long before the padding underneath, but you want to catch it as quickly as possible. Leaving the foam exposed for an extended period of time damages it and in some cases can even ruin the pad. If I feel like a pad is worth replacing, I'll mention it and the gym can make the decision from there before I move forward.
3. Do you offer on-site service?
Yes. On-site reupholstery is available and is often the best option for minimizing downtime. Pads can be recovered without removing equipment from the facility, keeping training areas functional.
4. When would off-site reupholstery make more sense?
Off-site work is often preferred for larger projects, warehouse-based jobs, or high-volume pad recovery. This approach allows for efficient production while maintaining consistent quality and predictable turnaround times.
5. What materials do you use?
We use commercial-grade vinyl designed for durability, sanitation, and performance in high-use gym environments. Material selection prioritizes longevity, cleanability, and proper fit.
6. How long does the reupholstery process take?
Turnaround time depends on the number of pads and whether the work is done on-site or off-site. Smaller jobs (5-10 pads) can often be completed in one day depending on condition and complexity, while larger projects are scheduled in phases to minimize disruption. Timelines are discussed clearly before work begins.
7. Do you work with independent gyms or larger facilities?
Both. We work with independent gyms, multi-location facilities, and equipment warehouses. Each job is approached with the same focus on quality, reliability, and minimizing operational impact.
8. How do I get started?
The best first step is a walkthrough or consultation. This allows us to assess pad condition, discuss priorities, and determine the most efficient approach for your facility.
